Above is a page I got from one of the How magazines. This page caught my attention because not only is the content interesting, but I really like the clean rectangular layout going on. On the left, the column of type really has a good use of positive and negative space because there is barely any white space within the type. At the bottom of the column of text, it neatly lines up with the column of images on the right; this creates a nice margin at the bottom that is aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
On the right, the column of images is a bit wide than the text column on the left but it doesn't affect the balance of the page negatively. Even though the images are not the same size, they still fit together perfectly almost like a puzzle in the shape of a column.
